If there are however many of them surgery should be reserved to the larger ones. If a rapid grow is observed it should be checked and even biopsied as it can degenerate in a nasty tumor.

Very: I tell people that acupuncture isn't magic. It has been around since the second century bc in china. It's very helpful for pain, depression, anxiety, and morning sickness. It does seem to augment treatment for diabetes and high blood pressure. It also seems to help addictions such as stopping smoking and recreational drugs usage.

Hardly: I have several patients who are actually phobic of needles who regularly get acpuncture. Why? Because it works & usually is  painless. In the hands of a gentle needler - insertion are not usually felt. Using a "push the finger" technique- penetration of the skin is generally not felt. There are some specific points which can be uncomfortable (so i generally use alternate sites for these). Enjoy!

More info, please: I would like to answer your question, but I am uncertain what you mean by "popped".  Lipomas are benign tumors usually found just below the skin, anywhere on the body.  In general, these are removed if they cause discomfort or are growing.  Surgical removal can often be done under local anesthesia in an office setting.  It is often easy to make a scar smaller than the lump, and "pop" it out.
