Control: Treatment can control it. It may burn out as you get older. Cancer can form at chronic wounds.

SCALP ACNE: If you are sure it's acne, then you should shampoo daily with a shampoo that has zinc pyrithione in it. And , yes, daily. No creams or lotions or gels or waxes no hair cosmetics at all for at least 10 days. If no better, see a dermatologist.

Same thing.: Scalp folliculitis is an inflammatory disorder of the hair follicles in the scalp, and is also sometimes called "acne necrotica", which is why it is sometimes confused with acne, which does not occur on the scalp (except along the frontal hairline). In other words, the condition often called "scalp acne" is actually folliculitis, or inflammation/infection of hair follicles.

I suggest you see: a dermatologist for treatment options. You can certainly try T-sal for your scalp, but prescriptions may be necessary

Only skin products: If you mean dettol antiseptic cream or similar product intended for application on the skin, you could probably try it. I wouldn't try any of the dettol household cleaning products, however.

Could be a cyst: And not actual acne..If those are "squeezed", really thick, stinky goo will come out, and they might go away for a little while; however, if the capsule that holds the goo is not surgically removed or destroyed, then it will just continue to fill up with goo again.  Have a derm take a good look and give an opinion.  Also they can become secondarily infected, and might need antibiotics on occasion.

Bacteria +/- Yeast: Scalp acne can be caused by bacterial and/or yeast overcolonization.  Sometimes occlusive hair products can cause it also.  Occasionally, more serious things can cause acne-type pimples in the scalp.  If you see a dermatologist, they should be able to help you determine the best course of action.
