Varies: Depends how accurate your due date estimates are. If you have a super-reliable dating then the reverse calculation is "pretty good," like within 3-4 days. If your EDD is +/- 2 weeks as it often is, then the reverse calculation will be not useful. Good wishes.

Yes, but...: An 8-week ultrasound scan gives an accurate estimate of the dates. All dates are estimates, so even an "accurate" estimate is an estimate. If general, there is no need to look for an exact date of conception, because life is never exact, and women are having sex with only one husband or future-father-of-the-baby at a time. So, the date estimate from the ultrasound scan is accurate enough.

It depends: If the difference between the two is less than 1 week, use your lmp. If it is more, use the ultrasound dates.

Depends on cycle: The calculators are based on a 28 day cyc.E, no more, no less.  If your cycle deviated in length in any way from that time frame (which is still normal), the calculation will be inaccurate.  It seems as thought this was a 35 cay cycle which would maje ovulation about 6 days later than predicted.

lmp was 11/30. edd based off lmp is 09/06. had protected sex dec 6th&unprotected sex dec 18. usually have 30-32 day cycles. first us put edd @ sept 9th (dec 17th ovulation date). which date likely caused pregnancy? how accurate are us at 8 weeks?

: The exact is not relevant for your or your baby's health. Did you get regular antenatal care? Any estimate of EDD has a two week eroor on either side.

Easier calculation: Every pregnancy dating software is based on a 40 week pregnancy. Actually the pregnancy is not 40 weeks but 38 weeks.  Not every women knows when they conceive but women know when their last menses occurs. Therefore the dating is from the last menses artificially adding 2 weeks to every pregnancy.

Your OB: Should be able to give you a due date by figuring it out on the pregnancy wheel and confirming that with an ultrasound, if you only had intercourse one time then it is 38 weeks after that intercourse, I am sure if you ask your OB , your OB can give u a wheel, i give them out all the time, we all get them for free.
