White matter lesions: Lesions in the brain are not good.  Hypodense lesions are seen which lead to further studies to evaluate the lesions for infection or malignancy.  Discuss any findings with your neurologist (ms, sarcoid) or neurosurgeon.

Possibly: At your age, deep white matter ischemic changes are not common. There are a few possibilities: either you have engaged in activities that have harmed your brain (ie- excessive alcohol intake or other toxins), or you are predisposed to small vessel disease (common in diabetics) or it is possible that a demyelinating condition like ms can cause this appearance. I would recommend seeing a neurologist.

Not clear: Your question is not clear.  White matter is normally present in the brain.  Was there something specificly commented on about the white matter on your scan?

Artifact. : What it does show is a nonspecific finding that the radiologist cannot define exactly what the character is. Also it does not show any signs specific for a disease process, tumor ,cancer or other lesion. At best your primary care doctor maybe reorder another study in three months to one year later to see if there is any change if the reason you had in the first place persists.

White matter CT: You most likely have microvascular damage to small vessels in brain due to long standing hypertension. I specialize in this issue.

Not likely: Hi! that terminology on the ct scan is usually seen in patients over 65 and is often related to a history of hypertension, high cholesterol, diabetes, vascular disease, and other conditions that affect blood vessels.  It is not usually ms, which causes patches of spots in the white matter around the ventricles of the brain.

MRI more sensitive: The MRI is a more sensitive test than a CT scan.

THAT RESULT IS: Consistent with small blood vessel atherosclerotic cerebrovascular disease. Very common in patients with hypertension and or diabetes, but unusual if younger than 50-60-70's.

You need diagnosis: The left leg issues may be peripheral nerve or due to lumbar nerve compression, but would wonder about prior stoke or even spinal cord compression in neck.  This is not  ms or any autoimmune process.  See a neurosurgeon or a spine specialist and get this addressed.
