Best to treat: Contact your psychiatrist about treatment options of lower dose, drug drug interactions that could be raising your Abilify (aripiprazole) level, and possibility of Inderal or another med to treat it. It can be quite miserable and cause a lot of distress. Hope you feel better soon.

Abilify (aripiprazole): Usually there is not decreased effect when taking medications with food. Sometimes there are absorbed better. Abilify (aripiprazole) is usually prescribed together with an antidepressant to augment the effect. If taken at breakfast, it will not cause many side effects. Akathisia (restlessness of the legs)  might be one of the few effects noticed. It is not very commonly reported.

I have not heard: this. one study may find that but how big was the sample size? was it a good representation of the general population or was it skewed toward a certain group of people.? you have to read studies carefully with informed knowledge b4 panicking unnecessarily. Talk to your doctor about your concerns. good luck.

Yes: Prozac does increase the blood level of abilify (aripiprazole). Especially if you get restless legs you can develop insomnia. I have however seen people develop insomnia from Abilify (aripiprazole) even without having restlessness. Best wishes.

Yes relatively: Abilify (aripiprazole) was approved in 2002. Fda indications include: schizophrenia, acute manic and mixed episodes associated with bipolar disorder; an adjunct for the treatment of major depressive disorder; to treat irritability in children with autism. It is a Dopamine receptor partial agonist, which makes it unique compared to prior medications (even relatively new ones) for schizophrenia.
