for months now, i've had some very odd symptoms.  my entire chest/abdomen area, back, and thighs(inner/outer) feel like they're burning on the inside, even though cool to the touch. there is a 3 to 4" band around my chest that is numb to the touch?

It would be prudent to see your doctor and discuss if you may be depressed. Counter-intuitive as it may seem, exercise may help. Nerve compression: Sounds like a nerve compression possibly in the high lumbar area or one of several small nerves occasionally subject to injury.  See a physical medicine and rehabilitation specialist or a neurologist.

E.R. can check, now: Pain, tenderness, or soreness in a testicle should always be examined by a doctor. The reason is that a guy's testicle can die if the testicle twists, thus twisting off the blood supply (called torsion). Other causes of testicle pain include doing sports without a jock strap, getting kicked in the groin, having a testicle infection, etc... Sometimes, an ultrasound scan is done to look for torsion.

see a neurologist: Assuming that by left side you mean left face, left arm and left leg that are numb, these symptoms would suggest that pathology is in right brain. A neurologist will investigate this.

Numbness: Did you have surgery in the general area. Did you have a rib or back injury beforehand. Are you diabetic? If no to all of the above see a neurologist.

Muscle tension: Really, nothing to speak of causes only numbness in the lower spine. All i would surmise would be spasms/tension that could conceivably cause only numbness along with tightness. Address the muscle spasm with stretching, ice/heat, salonpas hot patches, core exercises, and the rest should subside.

Nerve: This symptom more than likely is due to an irritable superficial nerve in the abdominal wall and should resolve in a short period of time. Problems within the gastrointestinal tract generally cause different symptoms such as cramps, nausea, pain,tenderness,distension,bowel or other digestive problems. Possibly severe: The most likely issue might be dental or TMJ, but clenching/grinding teeth (bruxism) can be stress related as well.  Additional symptoms such as vision changes (Temporal arteritis) progressive head aches, nerve deficits, or neurologic changes should prompt additional testing.
