Yes but not easily : Less than 5mm pass spontaneously. 5-10 might need help. lots of water. Bigger than 10mm mostly will need urologist

Small chance: The chance of a kidney stone passing spontaneously is inversely related to stone size.  According to studies, there is about a 10% chance of a 9 mm stone passing on its own.  In practice, there is a generally accepted cutoff of 5 mm for which there is a reasonable chance (50-70%) of passing.  Depending on individual level of pain and other factors, a urologist may opt for conservative management.

if i have an 8mm kidney stone in my kidney and a 5mm kidney stone in my uruter tube, can i just leave them alone or do i need to get them out?

Pain &amp; problems: You can not leave them as will give severe pains , obstruction to ureter if untreated may even loose the kidney.  Some times can pass stones  but 5 mm one already stuck in ureter . Need to see urologist , and follow the advise .

Fluids: Drink plenty of fluids, 1.5 - 2l a day is a good start.

Renal stone: Usually the pain is caused when a stone goes out of the kidney into the ureter.  A small stone that stays in the kidney will not be a source of pain.

No: If the stone is moving between your bladder and penis through the urethra, medications will not be helpful in passing the stone more quickly. Plenty of fluids and pain medicine. Hang in there you are almost done.

i have 8mm kidney stone. is it big enough to cause constant gross hematuria? can it pass naturally? what are my options to get it removed if hematuria persists and natural passing isnt possible?

Urologist: You should consult a urologist to ascertain if the stone is suitable for lithotripsy, endoscopic removal or would require open surgery. Once the stone is out, if the blood in urine persists, it would require and evaluation.

i have am 8mm kidney stone located in the inferior pole. not symptomatic currently, but was discovered by blood in urine. what are my options?

Nothing or something: If it's not causing you any symptoms, you don't necessarily have to do anything at the moment. If it starts to give you problems (pain, kidneys stop working, etc) then you can have it broken up with shock waves or directly surgically removed (likely the best option for a lower-pole stone). Definitely need to see your doc (and possibly a nephrologist) for this one.

Ok to wear tampons: Yes, you should be able to use tampons without a problem.

Kidney stones: small stones that do no cause obstruction or kidney enlargement,do you have abdominal or back pain
