Yes but not easily : Less than 5mm pass spontaneously. 5-10 might need help. lots of water. Bigger than 10mm mostly will need urologist

Depends: As one of our few paired organs, kidneys were i believe the first used in living donor transplants.Affect on lifestyle depends on your circumstances.I'd encourage a horseman or bull rider to stop, or quit playing sports where you are most likely to take a good hit & could injure the remaining one.If this doesn't describe your liifestyle, it likely wouldn't affect it. You only need one to live well.

Is it possible to pass an 8mm kidney stone on my own?

Small chance: The chance of a kidney stone passing spontaneously is inversely related to stone size. According to studies, there is about a 10% chance of a 9 mm stone passing on its own. In practice, there is a generally accepted cutoff of 5 mm for which there is a reasonable chance (50-70%) of passing. Depending on individual level of pain and other factors, a urologist may opt for conservative management.

Just wait...: Immediate post-eswl stone breaking as shown on kub could not predict if further stone disintegrates or not. So, it's worthwhile to wait and see for additional 2 weeks, then decide if transurethral intervention is needed or not. For detail, ask attending urologist timely.

How can pass a kidney stone of size 8mm?

8mm ureteral stones: can usually make it (albeit painfully) to the junction between the ureter and the bladder but can usually not go further and require ureteroscopy and basket to remove. In other words you need professional advice and assistance from a urologist.
