Ovarian cyst ?'s: Ovarian cysts with septations detected on ultrasound should be biopsied (laparoscopic surgery) to make certain the cyst does not have a component which could be malignant.  Another reassuring finding is if the ultrasound report used Doppler color to determine increased circulatory volume within the ovary. Ask your gyn physician about the latter.

just found out i got a 6cm cyst in my overies. it hurts to sit. is it deadly if i don't get removed ?

Follow doc advice: It is normal for a small cyst to develop on the ovaries from time to time. Ovarian cysts are quite common in women during their reproductive years and may be a single cyst or many cysts. Most cysts are benign and only require monitoring.  Most are cysts which develops from tissue that changes in the normal process of ovulation. They usually disappear within 6-8 weeks.

Ovarian cyst: hemorrhagic cyst is functional physiologic cyst for ovulation that bled inside. your body should absorb the blood in 6-8 weeks. observaton and repeat ultrasound in 8 weeks should suffice. weight reduction is always a general health benefit.

Risk of torsion: Cysts and ovaries &gt; 5 cm are at risk of twisting on their own stalk, resulting in a state called ovarian torstion. This can cause significant pain and result in loss of your ovary if not resolved in a timely manner. While your doctor is still just observing the cyst, you should consider decreasing any high impact or jumping activities.

No: It will not go away with medication. The cause of the cyst is endometrial glands on the ovary which need to be removed. With the size of the cyst it can rupture and cause and emergency situation. Best to treat with surgery in a timely manner.

OVARIAN CYST: Ultrasound means that your right ovary has a cyst more than 2 cm. Gyne will tell you if it needs operation.

i have a follicular cyst in my right ovary. it's 2.52.6cm in size. i keep having cramps they are not that painful. is it normal ?

: Follicular cysts can cause pain/cramps just prior to rupture, and is normal.  Ask your gyn provider about low dose oral bcp's to stop pre-ovulatory cysts (follicular) if not contraindicated.
