Your doc is probably: concerned about your 110 glucose.  Ask if he/she can give you a hemoglobin A1C lab test.  It will measure the way your body is processing glucose for the last 3-4 months and is more informative than a single glucose test.  Peace and good health.

BMI: BMI is a 26.6 which puts him in the overweight category.  I would recommend that he still needs to gain weight due to growing but over the next 2 yrs he needs to be careful and instead of gaining 20 lbs a year he needs to keep it to 5-10 lbs a yr.

Don&#x27;t need to lose: Your body mass index is only 19.5. This is great! Normal/desirable is from 18.5 to 25. You may need to firm up and exercise can do that  but you do not need to lose any weight.

What do you want?: If you want to lose weight, the best thing is to decrease junk food, decrease your portions and increase your exercise. Don&#x27;t go on a diet- you are likely to regain the weight when you stop. Gradually change your lifestyle to get in better health. 
It&#x27;s hard to say about your breasts- obviously they carry some weight, but you may lose some of that when you lose weight overall.

If you were an adult, your body mass index (BMI: http://www.nhlbi.nih.gov/health/educational/lose_wt/BMI/bmicalc.htm) of 24 would be normal (18.5-24.9). In adolescents, we calculate BMI percentile (http://nccd.cdc.gov/dnpabmi/Calculator.aspx) which places you at 84th (normal 5th-85th)

Not always: It depends on your fat distribution, muscle mass, and body type.  For your age, it is more ideal to have a body fat percentage in the 10-12% range.  TO get down to that, be sure to eat a healthy diet, eliminate soda, juice, fatty foods, and fast foods. Targeted exercise like ab crunches are not likely to help much.

Just right: Losing 0.5#/wk is an excellent goal, as it is attainable and sustainable. After all you need to learn how to eat and exercise and lose weight for the rest of your life, so how fast you do it isn't important. What's important is that you attain your goal and keep it there. Good luck.
