Confusing question: Does he look dehydrated to you or the physician?Has he seen the physician today? Has he urinated in the past 6 hours? If he has not urinated in 8 hours & looks dehydrated he should see the physician today for an evaluation. I hospitalize kids for IV fluids if they are dehydrated.

no fever or any other symptoms just a strong pain. he points to his forehead and covers his eyes. the first time he even said he couldn't see.

Like most symptoms in kids, the tincture of time is critical. Daily headache for 3 days could be something as simple as a virus (any number of viruses cause nonspecific symptoms like headaches), sinus congestion, or even be a vision problem (like he needs glasses). Give it time to declare itself and if he's still having daily headaches in 2 weeks take him in to the doctor.

Many thoughts: A 4 year old with fever and headache can have a mild illness or a severe illness.  I first think of strep throat or viral sore throat.  Then i think of pneumonia, viral infection, and then the big ones, meningitis and such.  I would like to know if s/he is better after some Ibuprofen or acetamenophen?  Rash?  Sore throat?  Enlarged nodes?  Eating or drinking?  If in doubt, see your pcp!

Headaches in Kids: I tell families to believe what they see from a young child, not what they hear.  A child who complains of headache but remains playful/active is fine.  If she's laying in bed all day with the lights off or has other symptoms with the headache (the fever two days ago would be less concerning than a fever now) then calling her doctor and discussing the symptoms with him is warranted.

A fever in any young child is reason to be worried.  With the fever coming and going and her appearing to be happy and normal without the fever this is probably easily solved. But, i would recommend a complete evaluation at a good health care providers office as soon as possible.

Probably a virus: Hello.  It is reassuring that your daughter's fever is responding to the panadol (acetaminophen).  That makes a serious bacterial infection unlikely.  The fever may go up again when the panadol (acetaminophen) wears off.  Most viral infections have fevers that last 3-5 days.  She may feel achy and have less energy when the temperature goes up.  If new symptoms develop or the fever lasts over 3 days, she should see her doctor.
