Fluids: Provide sips of clear liquids including electrolyte solution for children (Pedialyte). Start with small amounts frequently and increase the volume as tolerated. If there is reduced urination, dry mouth and other signs of dehydration, please see the urgent care center. He may require iv fluids.

Common problem: The average kid his age has this problem 1-3X/yr. It is usually triggered by a self resolving gut virus. Treatment is based on assuring fluid status enough that they pee every 6-8 hrs. Rehydration fluids/applesauce/fresh bananas/ rice /breads are all helpful in maintaining fluid status and slowing stools. The stomach pain/cramping improves as healing occurs. See doc if poop has blood in it.

Yes, this is viral.: Viral GI illness can take between 7-10 days to resolve. You should encourage a BRATT type diet (bananas, rice, apple sauce, toast &amp; tea) and avoid or minimize milk &amp; dairy.
Avoid using any Imodium (loperamide) or Peptobismol. If your child has any bloody stools, she should be checked by her pediatrician.

Viral infection: The time course, hives 5 days after the initial symptoms, is very unusual for a food allergy. Hives are more likely a symptom of her viral infection or a reaction to a medication she was given. Have you been giving her an antibiotic like amoxacillin or Azithromycin or a medication for fever like ibuprofen?

Viral gastro illness: The most likely cause of all your symptoms is a viral gastroenteritis ("stomach bug"). For all three of you, focusing on hydration is mandatory. For the two small children, they should be evaluated to assess their hydration status ASAP. Clear liquids with electrolytes (pedialyte, gatorade etc) at room temperature in small sips frequently. Goal for the kids should be about 1 oz/hr. NO milk or diary

CHRONIC DIARRHEA....: Most of the diarrhea are viral origin, no blood in stool, not much cramp or fever, resolves by an week or so. If longer, your child need to have an exam, test to find out the cause. Check with the child's pediatrician. By the time, give her pedialyte for each diarrhea, some yogurt, bananna, rice, applesauce, toast, etc.

And what else???: A 3yo is likely to have 3 diarrhea illnesses /yr due to simple viruses & most will be associated with mild fever. If the kid is playful most of the time & taking fluids well enough to pee every 6 hours you may be able to handle it at home. If the kid has bloody  material in the stools, acts tired & whiny most of the time or begins to refuse fluids, the kid should be examined.

Discuss first:     Avoid pepto unless your doctor thinks that is absolutely necessary. You said 'not fully diarrhea'. There's a thing called the  gastrocolic reflex, so when you eat if there's any stool in thecolon there's at least an urge to go. It's a normal thing, don't get excited about that. Also, whenever you have some clinically interesting going oneith your child, call your GP to discuss, won't hurt ?

And your question ?: This sounds like either a new onset stomach virus or a food reaction. Fever would suggest a virus, no fever might still be virus but could be a food reaction. It is not uncommon at this age.
