hi. i just started 20mg of prozac. i'm 25 weeks pregnant. will i get some side effects starting off, like dizziness,headache,etc, and might they be a bit worse because of being pregnant. just until they kick in?

: Please discuss this with your Gynecologist and your Psychiatrist. If you are having a problem communicating with them please choose another Doctor for a second opinion. Medications alone are not sufficient since they do not teach you coping mechanisms. Psychotherapy with a Clinical Psychologist with expertise in different types of psychotherapy can help.

Pregnancy test: You may do a home pregnancy test. If the result is negative, repeat the test in 7-10 days. Use first morning urine and follow the instructions for the test carefully.
If you do not wish to be pregnant, use contraception all the time, every time. You may consider implanted contraceptive, or IUD. 
Practice safe sex. 
Get HPV vaccine.
