BP monitor. : A 24 hour blood pressure monitor may help reveal the daily postural changes in blood pressure that may be suggestive of POTS.  If used, a detailed diary of the day's activities and symptoms must be logged so that events and symptoms can be correlated with blood pressure changes.

A regular Electrocardiogram can reveal acute changes that suggest a heart attack or abnormalities that suggest damage from prior events. Other studies are needed to sort out all such issues.

Most hereditary arrhythmia problems are evaluated this way but artery problems are not. Before you obtain an unnecessary test it might be best to check with a health care provider first and determine exactly what is necessary.

Only you know: You should definitely hydrate yourself with water, avoid going back out into the sun, and relax.  As far as calling 911 that can only be your decision depending on how you feel.   Ask your doctor  for some tips on how to pace yourself and what to do when working outside in hot weather for future reference.

Arrhythmia?: The monitor is simply a continuous 24 hour EKG. It will show if you are having a cardiac arrhythmia, i.e. abnormal heart rhythm, extra or abnormal heart beats, etc.

Tests: We do tests to evaluate specific areas for specific reasons. The tests you had are good within that context. As a 'rule everything out' panel, that's not quite here yet.

i was diagnosed with  atherosclerosis also with benign heart palpitations after wearing a heart monitor for 24 hours, my question is why when i bend over picking something up out of the floor or tying my shoes do i then have flip-flops in my chest?

When you bend over: or increase the pressure inside your chest, you impede the return of blood to your heart and reduce the volume in the pump this can trigger extra heart beats or just make you more aware of heart beats when it refills with reduction in the pressure. This is physiological and unlikely to represent anything to be concerned about.
