CSF white blood cell analysis
When spinal fluid is obtained, several tests are ordered. The white cell count can be associated with potential inflammation, and is elevated in meningitis of any etiology, but also increased with cancers, multiple sclerosis, lyme disease, intracranial parasites, asceptic meningitis, rarely as a medication rxtn.
