Severe yellow eyes and skin
Severe yellow eyes and skin (jaundice) is clinical finding that suggests the levels of bilirubin, a pigmented break-down product of red blood cells, is building up to dangerous levels in the body. Bilirubin build up can occur because either the body is breaking down too many red blood cells, or a person is not clearing the break-down product at a fast enough rate.
