Double vision

Double vision can be caused by misalignment of the eyes, and thus two images would be seen separately. The images may be horizontally and / or vertically displaced, and they might overlap. Closing one eye would eliminate this double vision. Monocular double vision is seen with one eye alone. This is more of a ghost image rather than true double vision, and is usually from refractive problems.
