Mental impairment

According to the ada (which regulates how employers should treat workers with such disabilities), a mental impairment is: “any mental or psychological disorder, such as an intellectual disability (formerly termed “mental retardation”), organic brain syndrome, emotional or mental illness, and specific learning disabilities” -- all disorders in the mental health diagnostic manual. (soon dsm 5).
