Hairy tongue
The term hairy tonque refers to the fuzzy growth on the top of the tongue. The tiny bumps that contain the taste buds sometimes overgrow appearing almost fiberous or hairlike. This can be caused by many factors, like diet, habits, medication, etc. Often the fuzzy texture will hold stain making it look like dark hair. Smoking is the most common for this affliction.
