Sinus surgery
In simplest terms, sinus surgery is defined as making openings through the nasal passages and the four, paired sinuses on each side of the nose, bigger. This may include straightening a crooked (deviated) septum, reducing the size of the nasal turbinates, and making the openings (ostia) larger, using by means of a drill with a very small bit that removes bone around the sinus openings.
