Radiosurgery
Radiation therapy for an intracranial tumor or lesion that only requires one treatment, not several (hypofractionated) or many (standard radiotherapy). Single dose radiation treatment is appropriate only for certain types of tumors and can be accomplished with the advent of extremely high accuracy radiation treatment machines such as gammaknife.
