Bone marrow transplant
This refers to using chemotherapy and/or radiation therapy to treat patients and then replacing their bone marrow cells with their own stem cells (autologous transplant) or a donors stem cells (allogeneic transplant). Bone marrow transplant generally refers to using bone marrow cells but is often used when using stem cells collected from the blood too.
