Thyroid hormones
Thyroid hormones are the hormones produced by the thyroid gland in the front of a person's neck. The hormones travel through the blood to all parts of the body, and control or increase the metabolism in various parts of the body. Too much thyroid hormone is hyperthyroidism, and too little is hypothyroidism.
