Myoclonic jerks
Myoclonic jerks is a symptom where a person has involuntary contraction of a discrete group of muscles. Hiccups is one example. Myoclonic jerks is also normal when it occurs as a person is falling asleep. In other circumstances, it can suggest a neuro-muscular abnormality.
