Skin is the largest and one of most complex organs of body. 3 layers: epidermis (outer), dermis (main part) and subcutaneous layers covers entire body, contains many specialized cells, maintains body temp, gathers sensory info from the outer world, has extremely important immune functions. It can give crucial clues as to what is internal. Dermatology and plastic surgery are devoted to this organ.
