Baby safe until labr: Unfortunately , chlamydia can be carried in the female genital tract without symptome. I'm not aware of oral sex passing the germ, but the baby is insulated from exposure by the sac that holds the waters. After your water breaks, if you have chlamidia ( acquired at any point) baby can pick it up on the way out. After a time it can cause an eye infection or pneumonia a few wks later.
