does herpes make your penis smell?

Usually not: Herpes causes painful blisters. A unusual smell could be a sign of an std such as gonorrhea, and should be checked by a doctor.

Small white dot on penis. Herpes?

Dr. Wendy Askew

Probablyl not: Usually, a herpes outbreak will begin with a burning or tingling sensation of the skin, then progress to painful, blisters, usually with a base of pink or red skin beneath the blisters. The blisters usually occur in groups, (but can be singular). A single, painless white dot on penis does not sound typical of a herpes outbreak.

An ulceration: Actually the first sign is looking down and seeing that you're having unprotected sex. Once you see that, an unwanted pregnancy or std is often right around the corner.
A 35-year-old member asked:

What's the difference between herpes and bumps on your penis?

Dr. Donald Alves

Pain: Herpes are little blisters that open into small craters/ulcers and scab (a lot like chicken pox), and are painful. If this is what you have, it is very likely what you've got. See your dr / urgent care / 'std clinic' / urologist for examination, diagnosis and treatment options.
