A member asked:

It is possible that a infected 10 year copper iud turn into chlamydia?

No: But u can get chlamydia if you have an iud, or you can have a variety of other bacteria that can cause an infection, if it is infected you need to do cultures, get on antibiotics and the iud needs to come out.

Prob not: I'm a little unclear. Do you know the iud was infected with chlamydia? Was the patient treated for chlamydia when the iud was placed? If so it's very unlikely.
