Common: Oral contraceptives can effect increase in breast tenderness. But women with tender breasts often improve on the pill. There is large variation; if it persists and is bothersome, consider switching to another pill. Good breast support, some tylenol (acetaminophen) or advil, as well as decreasing caffeine in your diet may also help. There is no need to worry beyond trying to be comfortable.
