Sex: It is sexual transmitted by direct contact. Wear a condom for protection. It is not always possible to eradicate condylomata in one visit.

All sex: Even sex with condoms doesn't completely eliminate risk. I have seen many condyloma at the base of the penis, an area not covered by the condom. So, even protected sex can transmit this common viral infection. Also, some hpv types can lead to cervical cancer for women. Getting the hpv vaccine may help prevent certain hpv infections, but not all.
