Birth control making cramps worse, help?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Unusual: It is unusual for birth control pills to make the cramping worse. It could be caused by the type of Progesterone in the pill not being right for you, so you might need a different pill. If it is the first cycle of birth control pills there may be a lot of lining of uterus to shed, so subsequent cycles will be better. Or there could be an issue with uterus or ovaries. Check with your doctor.
