A member asked:

Does it matter who i choose as a sperm donor? ie: ex husband, friend...are there any legal issues regarding such?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Your choice: Sperm banks list characteristics such as health, education, racial aspects, etc. Your personal choice of a donor, if you are doing it yourself is no different than a dating relationship. But you can choose based upon your desired characteristics. The only legal issue relates to privacy, the claim of the donor on the child, the rights of the child. You can sign exclusion agreements for this.
