A member asked:

What causes vaginal pain during intercourse?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

'One size fits all?': Not always! the vagina is a potential space that undergoes an 'expansion project' during sexual excitement and ultimately intercourse. Inadequate emotional preparation, a lack of lubrication, a vaginal infection, or just plain 'clumsiness' can all inflict pain.
