Syphilis : Syphilis can be deadly. This is nothing to monkey around with. You need treatment urgently from an expert. If there is no penicillin allergy then the treatment is with a long acting form of penicillin. Depending on the situation one shot to ten shots are needed to be fully treated. If you have a penicillin allergy then there are some less effective options. (which means treatment is for longer.

It should be treated: By a medical provider. Depending on the stage of syphilis, intramuscular of intravenous penicillin is recommended with Doxycycline as a back up for penicillin allergy. Follow-up testing is recommended.
