Unlikely : You are good in keeping dates down ! but even if pregnancy did not occur still use protection always to prevent possible std! regards to your question - pregnancy occurs during ovulation - if later after your period ( even short ) test was negative - it is unlikely to be pregnant! if any doubt - check with your doc!

Depends: If your last unprotected sex was before the period (light), and an hpt was negative after that; then you are not likely to be pregnant, if you did the test correctly. If you still have doubt, you could repeat the pregnancy test; use first morning urine and follow the instructions carefully.
