Condoms: Use condoms every time. The birth control pills, patches, iuds, and other devices all take at least 1 month to become active.

Birthcontrol: Condoms, condoms, condoms and if you are going to have sex get depoprovera shot at least 1 day before or start birth control 1 month before but still condoms.
