Phimosis: The foreskin is the area of skin that covers the head of the penis. With erection, the penis lengthens and this skin retracts. Having a foreskin means needing to maintain good hygiene. Daily retraction and cleaning is key. Otherwise inflammation of the foreskin and head can occur. Over time this can scar the foreskin, leading to cracking and bleeding. Circumcision can fix this problem.
