Causes of sweating: 2 types of hyperhidrosis: generalized & localized to underarms, palms, soles, face. Unknown what causes localized hyperhidrosis. Emotional stress/anxiety, heat, certain foods, etc for localized hyperhidrosis. Generalized hyperhidrosis, many causes: heat, metabolic diseases, like thyroid, diabetes, etc, infections, cancers, stress, medications. If new onset sweating, please see your dr right away.
