I am a 75 year old woman. have you seen any data with results using viagra (sildenafil) for esophageal spams?

VIAGRA (sildenafil): If there were data the company would be all over it as it could get another indication and possibly extend the patent. No hard data. Last i saw was in 2010.

Not very helpful: The studies I have seen have not shown much clinical improvement. It is shown, however, to reduce esophageal pressures. If other more conventional treatments such as nitrates or calcium-channel blockers have been unsuccessful, it may be worth a try.
