5 days.: Spermatozoa can survive for up to 5 days inside the female genital tract. You cannot presume your ovulation will occur as expected each cycle - only know that it took place 14 days before your next menstrual period (or when the ovulation kit detects your lh surge). In other words, you may already have conceived a pregnancy and not know it. Take Folic Acid 1-5 mg daily and see your gynecologist!
