Contraceptive pills: Contraceptive pills need to be taken by a woman daily, other than if there are specific skip days for the menstruation to occur. If pills are skipped or not taken regularly, the effectiveness of contraceptives is significantly decreased and pregnancy can occur.

Not like that: Birth control pills are designed to be taken every day preferably around the sam time each day. You do not take them only when you have sex. Emergency contraption like Plan B can be taken after sex to decrease the risk of pregnancy but this is a less effective method than daily birth control.
