Yeast usually is not caught from a partner, but sex may sometimes trigger symptoms in women already carrying yeast in the vagina. Altered pH isn't usually the reason. Note that the main symptoms of yeast are itching and irritation; increased vaginal discharge or odor have other causes, including STDs. Get checked if any doubt. Good luck.
