Do drugs like cialis and viagra raise intraocular pressure?

The literature seems to have mixed conclusions about whether meds like viagra can raise IOP. Some studies say yes after continual use after 3 months. Others conclude that any rise is transient. My advice is to have your IOP measured every 3 months if you're a regular user of viagra or cialis.

Cialis and Viagra belong to a class called PDE-5 inhibitors. PDE-5 is found in the tissue of the penis, blood vessels, and photoreceptors in the retina. Side effects I caution my patients include color vision changes and blurred vision. Fortunately, it does not cause glaucoma
