I am 37. after being off birth controll pills for several years, is it ok to restart them now even though i was found to have a 13 cm ovarian cyst? the cyst was 5 cm in 2016, so it has grown. will restarting pills make the situation worse in any way?

With a "13 cm ovarian cyst", see your GYN physician for guidance. If the cyst is "complex", your physician may suggest that a biopsy or surgical removal is necessary. Oral bcp's do reduce the occurrence of ovarian cyst formation, and will not affect the current situation adversely.
