When should i get a prostate exam?

Exam: If you're not experiencing any lower urinary symptoms prostate examinations usually are performed as part of a complete physical examination in your 40's or 50's depending on the examining physician or your family history of prostate cancer.

Any symptoms?: If you do not have any urinary symptoms there is no need for a prostate examination at your age. Have a healthy diet, exercise 30 minutes/day, drink plenty of water, have safe sex, no tobacco alcohol weed or street drugs. For nutrition: http://www.choosemyplate.gov/. Get HPV vaccine. Wish you good health!

You ask your doc for one. It involves them sticking their gloved finger up your anus & feeling the area toward the front where the prostate gland is located.
