A member asked:

Im having brown discharge a week after my last period. this is the 2nd time it happened (november-period and now january-period). i am getting worried as this has never happened before. should i get this checked out and what do you think it could be?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Doctor can examine: A vaginal discharge is anything coming from the vagina that is more than the scant amount of normal mucous that healthy women have. A discharge that has odor is usually an infection with germs such as bacteria, trichomonas, gonorrhea or chlamydia (discharge gets worse as infection gets worse). A woman with a discharge should see her doctor for an exam and perhaps medication.
