Smegma, yeast, germs: Smegma, which is comprised shed skin epithelial cells, oily sebacaceous secretions & moisture, is most common cause of foreskin itching. Some kinds of skin bacteria thrive & multiply in smegma. Yeast infections can also be very itchy. More likely to itch if foreskin is tight & prevents satisfactory hygeine by washing. Some stds, allergy to latex condoms & vaginal secretions can all cause itching.
