Abstinance: Any other form of BC will have pros & cons either in work requires or potential, drug effects, etc. The copper IUD has no hormonal content & as such avoids any related hormonal side effects. However, placement of any IUD is uncomfortable. All pills have a variety of potential effects. You can have allergic reactions to condoms, foams, cups, etc. Work this out with your doc.
