"Clear discharge": Ovulation will produce clear "stretchy" mucus, so if you were late starting your current pack of oral bcp's, you may not be protected against pregnancy. The placebo pills do not contain hormones, and if more than seven days elapsed after your last "active" pill, you may be ovulating, and have lost the birth control protection this month.
