BCP's: pregnant?: Most oral contraceptives have 21 days of "active" pills followed by seven days of "placebos" which have no hormones in them. Missing one active pill may cause a small amount of withdrawal bleeding, just like at the end of the active pills during the placebo phase, but you are not at risk for pregnancy unless more than seven days have passed since the last active pill.
